Boult Cummings has a heritage of community leadership. As founding members and active leaders in the Community Chest, the predecessor of the United Way, and the Nashville Symphony Association and Cumberland Science Museum, among others, the firm's founders were exemplars of community service who created a culture of leadership in community organizations. Through their decades of community leadership, the firm's name partners, Reber F. Boult, Sr., Joseph G. Cummings, Sr., John T. Conners, Sr. and James I. Vance Berry, created a continuing expectation that all firm lawyers, whether members or new lawyers, will be or become community leaders.

Continuing this tradition of community leadership, individuals within our firm have contributed their time by serving in leadership roles on the governing boards of many local and state charitable, business and cultural organizations, many of which are listed below. As a business leader, Boult Cummings plays an active role in some of the area's most influential and vital organizations, including the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, the Nashville Convention and Visitor's Bureau, Conexión Américas and the Partnership 2000 and Partnership 2010 initiatives. We are involved in many of the trade organizations committed to furthering the interests of our clients, including the Nashville Health Care Council, the Nashville Technology Council, the Nashville Association of Industrial Office Properties (NAIOP), the Tennessee Health Care Association (THCA) and the Tennessee Wireless Association, to name a few.
