Alternative Dispute Resolution

The use of alternative dispute resolution, such as nonbinding mediation and arbitration, is sweeping both the court system and commercial business practice. Due to the many problems associated with trial courts (costs, delays, unpredictable nature of judges and juries), many businesses, governments and even courts require disputes to be resolved outside of the trial system.

Boult Cummings is recognized as a forward-thinking advocate of alternative dispute resolution. Many of our lawyers are trained mediators and arbitrators, and are sought out by clients and other lawyers outside the firm to help them resolve disputes. This experience as a "neutral" is also vital in our firm's representation of clients in mediation and arbitration, allowing us to better advise them as to the best possible method of dispute resolution to achieve their overall business goals.
