Bankruptcies Snuff out Tennessee Small Businesses
The Tennessean

Related Attorney(s):   William L. Norton

Boult Cummings attorney, Bill Norton, was quoted in the Tennessean  in an article discussing the current rash of bankruptcies to plague Middle Tennessee since the economic downturn in September. Bankruptcy experts are predicting that many more bankruptcies are to come as failures continue to occur within the economy. One of these failures involves the credit crunch that many companies are experiencing due to banks increasing their credit standards. When a company can’t get credit from one bank, they simply go to another bank, but Norton points out that the other bank is now saying, "'Under normal conditions I would (help you), but I can't right now because I just don't have any money right now." Norton is a bankruptcy specialist and has represented many companies in their bankruptcy and restructuring proceedings.
