Nashville, Tennessee, January 14, 2008 - Boult, Cummings, Conners & Berry, PLC is pleased to announce that Mark W. Miller has joined the firm's Tax practice as a Member.
Miller brings more than 10 years of experience in tax law to the firm. His practice focuses on federal income tax matters, with a particular emphasis on structuring and implementing partnership and limited liability company transactions, including formation, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and securities offerings. He has represented service businesses primarily in the health care industry, manufacturers, venture capital funds and real estate developers.
Prior to joining Boult Cummings, Miller practiced in the Nashville office of Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis, LLP as a partner on the tax team. He earned an advanced degree in taxation from New York University in 1997, and he received his law degree, cum laude, from Indiana University in 1996. Miller graduated, magna cum laude, from Murray State University in 1993 where he earned his undergraduate degree in accounting.
Miller is a member of the American and Nashville Bar Associations and serves on the Executive Council to the Tax section of the Tennessee Bar Association. He also is a member of the Tax and Finance practice group of the American Health Lawyers Association. An active member of the community, Miller serves on the board of directors for The Shalom Foundation and is a member of the Sennet Society of the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville.
