Insurers React To Hepatitis C Case In Vegas
Nevada Health Plan Analysis

Related Attorney(s):   John M. Scannapieco

Boult Cummings attorney, John M. Scannapieco, was quoted in an article in the Spring 2008 issue of the Nevada Health Plan Analysis . The article, entitled "Insurers React to Hepatitis C Case in Vegas," spoke of the legal issues related to so-called "never events". Never events are severe medical errors committed by healthcare providers that insurers will no longer reimburse a provider for, such as operating on the wrong limb. Scannapieco spoke of the different issues related to filing suits for such errors.  "Obviously any claims that could arise out of the contract would depend on its specific language," stated Scannapieco.
