Paul Alexis concentrates his practice in commercial litigation with special emphasis on antitrust, telecommunications, environmental, trade regulation matters (including trademarks), securities, ERISA litigation and class action lawsuits. Prior to joining Boult Cummings in 1986, Paul was Deputy General Counsel of Genesco Inc. and was previously with the firm of Donovan Leisure Newton & Irvine in New York City.

Paul has represented a variety of clients in criminal and civil antitrust proceedings in federal and state courts and before various federal agencies, including the Federal Trade Commission and the International Trade Commission. A lecturer at seminars on both antitrust and environmental law, Paul is head of the firm's Environmental team and has represented a number of clients in connection with superfund environmental lawsuits and compliance with environmental regulatory laws and regulations. Paul also has extensive experience representing clients in class action lawsuits in both federal and state courts, involving antitrust, securities, environmental, contract and tort claims.

Paul serves as Chairman of the firm's ethics committee and lectures frequently at seminars on ethics and malpractice issues. Paul also is a member of Nashville (Co-chairman of the Ethics and Professionalism Committee, 1999-2001), Tennessee (Chairman of the Corporate and Business Law Section, 1985-1986) and American (Antitrust and Environmental Law Sections) Bar Associations. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® 2009  for antitrust law and commercial litigation and Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business 2006  for general commercial litigation.
