General Assembly Passes Non-Compete Bill
Nashville Business Journal

Related Attorney(s):   Mark C. Lewis

Boult Cummings attorney, Mark Lewis, commented on a bill recently passed by the General Assembly to reinstate physician non-compete covenants in Tennessee. It is currently pending on Gov. Phil Bredesen's signature. If signed, the bill would allow health care providers to include provisions in physician contracts that restrict them from practicing for up to two years after leaving a provider.

Lewis expects Bredesen to sign the bill.
