Russ Morgan is a trial lawyer in the firm's Litigation Section.  Russ represents clients in business,  products liability and intellectual property litigation.  Russ has significant experience in representing clients in technology, health care, construction, real estate and automotive supplier disputes.  In these areas of practice, Russ frequently litigates fraud, misappropriation, embezzlement, fiduciary duty and trade secret claims.  He advises clients on corporate governance and operating matters.  In addition, Russ frequently is called upon by clients seeking injunctive relief or for matters related to liens lis pendens.  Having previously been employed as a litigation attorney with Caterpillar Inc., Russ advises manufacturing clients on design, recall and retrofit issues, as well as supplier issues.

Russ represents clients in state and federal courts in Tennessee and Kentucky and is licensed to practice in both states.  In addition, Russ has represented the firm's clients in litigation throughout the United States, including Ohio, Texas, North Carolina, Louisiana, Missouri, Florida, Georgia and Texas.

Russ is active in the Defense Research Institute, in which he serves as Chair of the Product Liability Committee's Building Products Subcommittee and Vice-Chair of the Commercial Liability Committee's Business Torts Subcommittee.  Russ is active with the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and its affiliate, Partnership 2010.  Russ serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center, a local non-profit organization that provides health care to the uninsured and less privileged. Russ was named to The Best Lawyers in America® 2009   for his commercial litigation practice.

Prior to joining Boult Cummings, Russ worked as a litigation attorney with Caterpillar, Inc. and was an associate with Brown, Todd & Heyburn.
